The client had a requirement to build a proactive web assistant that could be easily configured and deployed to the client’s website. The idea behind this solution is to help the users navigate and find the information that they are looking for in the most effective way.

The client has the ability to configure an explicit rules engine wherein they could define a sequence of activity (browse activity) then configure the suggested page as a “find”. When any user browses the client’s website and matches the configured page flow pattern then the customer is taken to the predicted pre-configured page. If the customer follows through the find then a score is added to the path find success variable. if the customer skips the suggested page and continues on their browse then the path finds failure is incremented by 1.

This suggested configured solutions along with the ratings from path find variable helped build an effective knowledge-based help system for future customers. This also allowed the web admins to effectively configure the workflows for their customers and help them find the information that they are looking for in the site within a shorter time.
